One of my mom's favorite stories is from the time before I could talk, of her little girl belting out personal renditions of "Row Row Row Your Boat," "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," and "Bah Bah Batman" from the seat of the grocery store shopping cart. The singing hasn't stopped but the repertoire has expanded.
I grew up in California's Heartland, surrounded by cowboys and cowboy music, rotten tomatoes and orange groves but at age 17 I decided to exchange the dusty fields for the asphalt of New York City. I received my Bachelor of Music from NYU, studied acting at T. Schreiber Studios, improv at Upright Citizens Brigade.
Credits include the ONCE 2nd National Tour, two tours of 1950s jukebox musical THE TAFFETAS. Regional theatrical roles including CATS (named one of the best actors in the DC Area), DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, The Who's TOMMY, HONKY TONK ANGELS, HELLO, DOLLY!, BOEING BOEING, and a stint in Las Vegas' last showgirl show, JUBILEE!
A musician at heart, I continue to expand my collection of instrument skills which now include piano, flute, guitar, accordion, and ukulele. The latest instrument I am working on adding to that list is the violin.
Working in theater and music has been a blessing. It has taught me how to love, to love people that are not like me, to love people I don't understand, and to cherish my home as well as my home away from home.
